My teenage son returned from a recent trip to Japan where he was hosted by a local family in Fukuoka and raved about the breakfasts. Hence why I am browsing blogs for recipes!

I started off not liking Japanese breakfasts at all. Eventually though, I got sick of toast and jam and started giving them a try. Now I find that if I *don't* have a Japanese breakfast I get really hungry before noon.

Honestly, I'm still not a big fan of fish for breakfast, but I eat rice, natto and miso soup about five days out of seven. It may be an acquired taste, but I love it!
